Should we take her to the doctor?

It seems like every time one of the girls get sick we put off going to the doctor as long as possible. Then, usually at night or on a weekend we finally decide she should be seen. But we have to debate, can it wait until the regular Pediatrician is open, or do we take her to Urgent Care?

Eve has had a fever for six days. She is hanging around 103 degrees. She is only happy when she is on ibuprofen. She has a runny nose, but not much coughing. I really feel that it's just a virus that the doctor can do nothing for anyway. But it worrys me that the fever has been so high for so long. She hasn't slept through the night this whole time either, and isn't eating well, which is very uncommon for her.

I caved in and called the doctor yesterday afternoon. Of course they couldn't fit her in that day and said to take her to urgent care if I was really worried. I didn't though, so I'm taking her to the Ped. this morning. Hopefully they can help her.

103 for six days is a long time. Did you take her in? What did the dr. say? Don't just tell us something like this and not report back! I am a worrier, remember?

Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you. I did take her in and she had ear infections in both ears. So she is on an antibiotic right now. And so far we've managed to not forget a dose. Although I almost did tonight. I was singing her her lullaby, when I remembered and had to hurry and give her her medicine. Then calm her down again.
