Exercises

My two-year-old's tongue is out of shape apparently. We're supposed to encourage her to stick it out and lick things to help it exercise. A strong tongue can enunciate words better. So I'm trying to think of ways to help that.

Ketchup
lollipops
popcicles
ice cream cones
cake batter off of beaters

After her tongue is strong she'll need to exercise more to work off the sweets.

What if you put something on her nose for her to lick off...

When her therapist was here we were trying to get her to lick sugar off her hand, and icing off her nose, but she would just suck the sugar off her hand and wipe her nose with her finger to get the icing. We had to be tricky and quick to force her to use her tongue.
