An Update with news.

We've been busy over here and there is change in the wind. First of all DH's cool sister, Bettie, moved. She got her dream job in Sante Fe, NM and packed up her family and moved from Logan, UT down to NM. DH was just pondering the unlikelihood of us ever being able to live near family and got on a website so prove it. He was proven wrong and found two jobs openings in Albuquerque, NM. And one of them was his dream job! So after a couple of days of mulling it over, DH applied. They were really excited about DH's resume and called soon after they got it. After a lengthy phone conversation with the HR director he had set up an interview, and they were flying out our whole family!

We went and found out that Albuquerque is beautiful! I didn't know that before. I'd never really heard of or been to Albuquerque before. We were able to play outside the whole time. The people the girls and I met were all so friendly. It really felt good to be there. After DH's interview we saw he was all fired up to work for them. He's so excited for the opportunities in working for this company. We went up to the temple and wandered around the grounds and had a family prayer there together. We really felt good about moving to this new place.

Now that we're home it's a little more over whelming. We've never sold a home before. We're trying to pack and clean to get out in only two weeks. We're hoping to find a good realtor who will run the show on his own while we are out of town. We don't want to have to be in the house trying to keep it in show condition the whole time.

DH's brother has come down for a visit and he and DH will be working as fast as they can to clean up and fix up the house. We'll see what the whirlwind will leave our house as...

Wish us luck :)

Katie - I am dying to move to Santa Fe or Albuqurque - which I have to learn to spell.... I am taking training to qualify me to work in the biiotechnology industry. Baxter Pharmaceuticals has branches here and in Albuqurque and I would like to work for them, I think. I will finish my next certificate this sprong if all goes well.

I plan to come down to visit the area to make sure I'm not just crazy sometime in the next year. The move wouldn't be for at last three years to let Michael finish HS here and me to get ready to sell the house - not everybody likes purple, blue and green floors.

You're thinking of moving to NM? I know you were talking about moving to the West, but that's fun that it'd be near me. You're welcome to come and visit any time! Maybe during the Hot Air Balloon festival. I'm excited to see that.

Yes! the funny thing is I have never even been there and I don't know what got it in my head. Maybe in "Rent" where they sing about Santa Fe!

I have been so worried about being able to afford my reconnaisance mission to make sure. It will be easier knowing I can come visit you. Don't worry. It won't be for a while so you will have time to get settled.

I can't believe how quickly things are moving for you! Wow.
