We flew in late Saturday night and starting our trip off right we stayed up really late and watched a improv comedy show at Pike's place. The next morning we struggled getting ourselves out of bed but made it to church. It was really foggy and beautiful. The green-ness of Washington made me wish we could be there more often. I love seeing the land so alive.
Here's the steeple of the church we attended.

The temple is behind those trees. We couldn't get any closer since the gate was shut.

After church we changed and headed out to see Snoqualmie Falls. It was so misty we couldn't see through the mist to the actual falls.

Us near the falls

Since it was so wet we didn't stay near the falls for long and went to explore the town of Snoqualmie instead.

We found a cool old collection of train cars where they taught us about the logging business this area was founded on.

In the evening we headed back to Seattle for a reception at the hotel with all the other new associates. I dressed up in my new dress and boots and found I don't have the muscle strength yet to wear high-heels for very long. At the end of the two hour reception I could hardly walk to where the dinner was. I was so grateful that dinner could be eaten sitting down!
That's the end of our first full day in Seattle!

Congrats to Gordon and what a beautiful area. Great pics.
What an incredible pic of the mist coming thru the trees!! amazing! And we have to see a pic of you in these boots!
Isn't it nice to get away with just your hubby!
Way to go Gordon!
You are getting some great shots with that camera.
Ok, so I think that the associateship thing sounds made up. Like I happen to be a charter member of the Sisterhood of the Fabricoholics Anonymous School for the Shoe Hoarders. ;) (that first part of the comment is for G)
Ooh, I love your pics! You have some really awesome ones! I second or third the AHHHS of the mist photo, awesome! I'm excited to see more about your trip, it sounds like a great time for both of you.
Share, I really hope it wasn't made up, cause then I would cry. :(
That is great Gordon. Congratulations.
Oh, don't cry little brother. I said it just "sounds" made up...but that's how all the really cools things are. (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for example...interesting name, but really cool - and not made up ;)
Good job Gordon! That looks like such a fun trip. The pictures remind me a lot of portland.
