gxdudaux

I am one who looks at all license plates (tags for those of you in the South) and tries to make sense of them. I can usually make up words, phrases or something out of the random jumble of letters. Now I'm starting to see them again in the security letter I type in as I add comment to my friends blogs. Here is my latest:

Beginning Drive

This is the sky over Arizona, right at the beginning of our journey. The sunset just kept changing and staying beautiful.

Family Reunion

Our Vacation started with a family reunion for all of Gordon's siblings, parents and kids. There are 23 in the family now. We were able to get all but 2 spouses to the festivities.

I DID IT!

Here I am, proving that I hiked the Grand Tetons 5 months pregnant. We backpacked in for five miles where we camped. My pack weighed about 20 pounds. The lake is Phelps Lake. The last picture is showing how we stored our food to keep it away from animals.

Eventful Drive

6
We attend Sacrament meeting only with Grandma. At 10:40 we start our drive down to Las Vegas, NV. We decide to stop at Camp Williams to visit Dad’s grave. We get a little lost trying to find it, but do eventually. We stop at Ryan’s to return a few things he left at Grandma’s house. But we can’t find his bag of things in our disorganized car. In Payson we hit a storm with rain so heavy Gordon has to slow down to 10 mph, visibility is really low , but only in Payson. After Payson there were crosswinds that made our windows whistle. Around Beaver Eve had an exploding diaper. Just then the traffic was forced to stop because of a forest fire. So I cleaned her up while we were parked on the highway. We waited for about an hour for permission to continue the trip. The man in the truck in front of us had a really kind dog named Princess that the girls played with. The drive is 9 hours. We chat at Amber’s house for a little while, then go to Mom’s house to sleep.

The Last Days.

Mom, Amber and I walk around the neighborhood for exercise. We drive to Amber’s in-law’s home and have lunch and swim in their pool. Most of us take naps in the afternoon. We call Jessica and sing to her for her birthday. We have Hawaiian haystacks for dinner then watch Jessica’s wedding video that Mom just had made. After the girls go to bed the adults play Catchprase.
8
We pack up and head out, driving 6 hours to Mesa, AZ. Home finally!!! We clean out the car and start laundry.
