Mom: Then on Christmas Eve we plan to...
Eve interrupting: I'm not Christmas Eve!
Mom: I know you're not, Christmas Eve is the name of a day, the day just before Christmas.
Eve: I'm not Christmas Eve!
Mom: I know, I'm not talking about you, it's a different Eve.
Eve: I'm not Christmas Eve!

Sledding
We had to drive up the canyon to find the snow. But we found it!

Abigail's Birthday!
To kick off our celebrations of our youngest we started with a FHE with another family. They happened to have a boy Abigail's age who has decided to follow Abigail whenever he can. Abigail has learned to expect this of him and if she turns a corner she'll stop and wait for him so he'll know which way to go. It's so cute, they play together so well. For our opening song we sang "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" since it's her favorite song. Then after a short lesson we played "Ring Around the Rosies" since that's Abigail's favorite game.
Luckily for Abigail, her birthday is near Thanksgiving so she also got a family party during our get-together. For that party we had two guests of honor since my niece, Annika, also has a birthday near Thanksgiving. We had the girls all play duck-duck-goose then sing a bunch of finger-play songs before opening presents. Abigail was slow and deliberate as she opened each gift and was disappointed when we'd take the gift away (to make room for opening another). After the two girls finished opening their gifts Aunt Sarah had made treat bags for all of the girls so everyone had a Thanksgiving hat and some candy.
Here's the trip down memory lane...

Her Birthday!
We love Abigail. She is so cute and funny. We love to play with her and she brings joy into our lives. She is great with both of her sisters. We feel blessed and happy that Abigail is a part of our family.

Double Thanksgiving!
We are fortunate enough that two of our families have moved near one another, so we were able to visit them both.
Our first stop was with Gordon's oldest sister and her family. We drove in late Wednesday night so we were able to play, cook and eat the whole day of Thanksgiving.
The pictures are us playing at a park near their house.
Our second stop was with my sister, Sarah, where my mom and several sisters came down to as well. My family was kind enough to hold Thanksgiving for one day for us so our family could celebrate with them. I always love hanging out with my family and it was really fun. We played war (set up soldiers in Styrofoam forts and shoot them down with rubber bands). A couple crazies decided to do a polar bear swim.
We also had a dance party!
Here's a couple more pictures for fun...
