Our drive

It was a beautiful drive in between Mesa and Albuquerque. One of the nicest part about it was once we were in the mountains we could roll down the windows and enjoy the cooler temperature. There was several construction sites and Eve and I were waving to the workers as we jammed to our music with the windows down.

The last couple pictures are at the last rest stop in Arizona, it's on a reservation, the stuff on the cliffs are statues of animals, not real ones.

Leaving Phoenix

I loved parts of living in Mesa, especially our wonderful friends. Here is a picture of some of them at a goodbye party they threw for us. We've only been gone two weeks, but I want to go back and visit.

Another wonderful part that we'll miss is the great teachers the girl's had.

Every one say "Bye, house"

We're almost done packing, and we better be since the moving truck is coming tomorrow morning. I think the hardest thing to pack so far was our pictures. After they came down our home doesn't look like ours any more. I'm walking around feeling sad, I don't really want to leave. Going to the unknown is a little daunting, we really did have it good in AZ.

Ready for school

Here is my baby ready to go to school. She's only two and already riding a school bus with confidence. She goes to the school district special-ed pre-school for speech therapy help. She is loving school. She comes home happy and tired. I'm sad to take her out of this program when we move. I've already talked to the new school district and they're prepared to have her move in there. I hope her new teacher is just as wonderful.

An Eve Funny

My BIL named Lantz was visiting for a couple of days. Eve loved playing with him and would run around yelling "Uncle Aunts, Uncle Aunts" to get him to follow her.

An Update with news.

We've been busy over here and there is change in the wind. First of all DH's cool sister, Bettie, moved. She got her dream job in Sante Fe, NM and packed up her family and moved from Logan, UT down to NM. DH was just pondering the unlikelihood of us ever being able to live near family and got on a website so prove it. He was proven wrong and found two jobs openings in Albuquerque, NM. And one of them was his dream job! So after a couple of days of mulling it over, DH applied. They were really excited about DH's resume and called soon after they got it. After a lengthy phone conversation with the HR director he had set up an interview, and they were flying out our whole family!

We went and found out that Albuquerque is beautiful! I didn't know that before. I'd never really heard of or been to Albuquerque before. We were able to play outside the whole time. The people the girls and I met were all so friendly. It really felt good to be there. After DH's interview we saw he was all fired up to work for them. He's so excited for the opportunities in working for this company. We went up to the temple and wandered around the grounds and had a family prayer there together. We really felt good about moving to this new place.

Now that we're home it's a little more over whelming. We've never sold a home before. We're trying to pack and clean to get out in only two weeks. We're hoping to find a good realtor who will run the show on his own while we are out of town. We don't want to have to be in the house trying to keep it in show condition the whole time.

DH's brother has come down for a visit and he and DH will be working as fast as they can to clean up and fix up the house. We'll see what the whirlwind will leave our house as...

Wish us luck :)
